Treatment Plans at Crestwyn

We are pleased to provide a range of care options, including acute crisis stabilization and inpatient care with programs divided by age. This division by age is one piece of our overall commitment to providing individualized care for everyone who comes to heal with us. We are not in the business of providing one-size-fits-all treatment. Rather, we work closely with each individual in our care to ensure that he or she has a treatment plan that best addresses his or her unique strengths, goals, and treatment needs. We consider treatment plans to be “living documents” that can he adjusted throughout the treatment process to account for changes in our patients’ symptoms and level of functioning. The end result is that no two treatment plans are exactly alike, and each person receives the best possible treatment for his or her needs.

These individualized treatment plans may include a number of different interventions, such as:

  • Individual therapy: Patients meet for regular sessions with a highly trained counselor for individual, personalized one-on-one support.
  • Family therapy: At Crestwyn, we recognize that mental illness and substance abuse does not just affect individuals, but can have effects on entire families. We are pleased to provide family therapy services based upon individual need and the family’s geographic location.
  • Group therapy: Groups are a foundational component of treatment at Crestwyn. Led by counselors, nurses, and mental health technicians, groups give patients opportunities to hear others and be heard by others, build and practice skills, and support and be supported by their peers. We offer a number of groups including community, psychoeducation, 12-Step recovery, anger management, goal-setting, medication support, suicide prevention, treatment options, recovery skills, healthy relationships, and others depending on patients’ needs.
  • Medication management: Patients who would benefit from including medications into their treatment regimens can take advantage of our medication management services. Patients in need of medications meet with a psychiatrist at least once per day, and nurses and nurse practitioners assist with day-to-day administration of medications to ensure that patients do not miss doses, are being helped by their medications, and are not experiencing severe side-effects.

Treatment at Crestwyn is based on positive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, motivational enhancement, and other treatment modalities. Patients typically stay in our inpatient care programs for 10 to 14 days, though the length of stay depends upon each patient’s individual needs.

As described above, we offer unique programs of care for both adults and senior adults.

Our adult program is designed for men and women aged 18 and older with mental health and/or substance use disorders. Adults in this program benefit from the interventions described above, tailored to their unique needs, and a typical stay in this program lasts 7 to 10 days, depending on individual needs.

At Crestwyn, we are committed to providing state-of-the-art care for adults and senior adults with mental illness and substance use disorders. If you or someone you love might benefit from the care that we provide, please do not hesitate to contact us at your earliest convenience. Our admissions team is standing by 24 hours a day, seven days a week to answer any questions you may have.

This was the best place I could have ever chosen to go get help at! Unlike other behavioral health places in the Memphis area, Crestwyn is a very nice facility staffed with the kindest and most helpful people ever!
